Customer Care is backed by a Network Operations Center (NOC) at each facility along with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to proactively monitor the datacenters and customer systems 24/7/365. These teams are made up of Certified Operation Technicians and CISSP-certified security engineers. Certifications include MCSA, MCSE, RHCT, RHCE, CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCSA and CCSE.

The Security Operations Center (SOC) proactively monitors for security threats 24/7/365. The SOC team provides centralized security monitoring and management and is comprised of highly experienced and certified Information Security Engineers.

Power Distribution Units (PDU) are located at the end of each cabinet row. Power is distributed properly and there is no sharing of breakers. This means other customer’s equipment failures will not affect your cabinet. Each PDU supports 36 x 20 amp breakers at 120 volts.

The Planet utilizes the most reliable and comprehensive equipment in backup power protection and power management. Our 6 Powerware UPS Units are paired for redundancy and capacity and provide 500KVA with 90 batteries per unit and delivers uninterruptible power protection.

The datacenter floor is completely capitalized and has 80 miles of pre run CAT5e. Network and power run down each row separately never crossing to eliminate electrical interference.

VESDA very early warning smoke detectors provide the earliest possible warning of a potential fire and reliably measure very low to extremely high concentrations of smoke. It has the world’s widest sensitivity range of 0.0015 to 6% obscuration/ft. The facility is further secured with more than 500 smoke detectors and a dry pipe fire suppression system

There are a total of 60 motion sensitive cameras monitored 24/7. The cameras are inside the entire facility as well as around the exterior of the building. The datacenter has Closed Circuit TV in the front lobby and between facilities for watching other datacenters.
